Boko Haram girls

The conflict in North Eastern Nigeria is taking a heavy toll on children. Boys from 8 years old are abducted by Boko Haram and used as child soldiers, porters, spies and are forced to commit suicide attacks. Girls, as well as 8 years old, are kidnapped and married off to fighters deployed as (sex) slaves, and are also increasingly used to commit suicide attacks. Since the start of the conflict, thousands of boys and girls have gone missing. This practice came to the attention after more than 200 girls were abducted from their school in the Chibok village on April 15, 2014. Under the title "Bring Back Our Girls", worldwide attention was asked to the plight of these girls and then performed to release them again. Now, two years later, missing the majority still each track. The 'Chibok girls' are only the tip of the iceberg.
